Children’s yoga

With an hour or so, a class can be taught with or with out the assistance of a parent. The goal with children is to find a balance of fun and discipline and connectivity. In class, children are encouraged to be creative and channel their energy in a positive fashion, through various fun techniques that can be used throughout their lives to ensure self healing and self empowerment (techniques that have been useful for over 4,000 years). We work with the integration of the left and right hemispheres of the brain through conscience movement, breath work and stillness, different art mediums, meditation and visualization. The alchemy of a children’s yoga class is to feel a rise in energy through playful, non-harming, non-lineal movement, then to experience stillness and self control.
